Eco Friendly Materials

We incorporate as many recycled and renewable products as possible into our green homes. Whether we’re building a new SmartHaus or customized green home we always attempt to reuse building material in our houses and the off-site factories. This allows us to reduce waste, lower our carbon footprint and use less overall materials. In fact we produce approximately 50% to 75% less waste during construction. Finally, we try to choose products with greater durability and lower maintenance needs to increase its longevity.

The SmartHaus

• Reduces waste and use less: Factory-built homes allow for 50% to 75% less waste during construction.


• Long-lasting and low maintenance: Our homes are durable and designed to withstand even the harshest weather conditions. Cedar v-groove & durable cement board siding means less upkeep and more time to enjoy your family and friends.


• Re-use: When possible, we incorporate previously used materials into our houses. Recycled paperstone countertops and recycled glass tiles are options in all of our homes.

Preliminary Platinum LEED Certification

LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification program, providing third-party verification that a building or community incorporates strategies aimed at improving performance, increasing energy and water efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, thoughtfully utilizing our natural resources, and improving indoor environmental quality.

LEED for Homes is a consensus-developed, third party-verified rating system that provides a basis for quantifying the benefits of green homes. The rating system measures a home’s performance based on eight categories: site selection, water efficiency, materials & resources, energy & atmosphere, indoor environmental quality, location & linkages, awareness & education, and innovation. Each LEED-certified home undergoes onsite inspections and thorough performance testing to ensure proper performance.
